What makes a Tumble rug spillproof? Is it safe?Updated a month ago

Tumble rugs are designed to handle real-life messes safely.
Our rugs are coated with a proprietary, water-based solution commonly used in medical and outdoor apparel. This helps create a protective barrier that allows liquids and oils to bead up on the surface rather than quickly absorb, giving you time to wipe up spills before they settle in.
And because every Tumble rug is fully machine washable and dryable, cleanup is simple — even after bigger messes.
Safety is just as important to us as performance, and we pride ourselves on our high standards and rigorous testing. All Tumble rugs and rug pads are OEKO-TEX® certified and are tested in accordance with U.S. safety standards and California’s Prop 65 at a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)-accepted, independently accredited testing laboratory.
They are tested for substances including: PFAS compounds (including PFOA and PFOS), VOCs, BPAs, common heavy metals such as Lead and Aluminum, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Formamide, and Flame Retardants.
We design for homes with kids, pets, and full lives — which means safety and durability are never afterthoughts. 💛
Please note: Due to its high pile, our Faux Fur rug is not designed to be spillproof. However, it is fully machine washable and includes a built-in non-slip rug pad.
